AVX Axial TransGuard® and StaticGuard Varistors based on reliable multilayer varistor technology provide bi-directional overvoltage protection in axial leaded configuration. Thanks to the epoxy coating, these components offer also excellent resistance against harsh environment. Axial StaticGuard is a low capacitance version of TransGuard® Varistors and are designed for general ESD protection of CMOS, Bi-Polar, and SiGe based systems or other applications where lower capacitance is needed.

Available in epoxy coated, axial package in working voltage from 3.3 to 60Vdc, energy up to 2J and peak current up to 300A. Operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C with no derating. parts are available with Ni/Sn leads, however AVX can also offer Ni free wires upon request.
