KYOCERA AVX High Temperature Radial Varistors are designed for high temperature applications (e.g. underhood, downhole drilling). Products have been tested, qualified, and specified to 150°C. The Radial Leaded TransGuard is built for durability in harsh environments. These components, based on reliable multilayer varistor technology, provide bi-directional overvoltage protection and EMI filtering in radial leaded configuration and also offer excellent resistance against harsh environment, vibrations and shocks. This allows designers to combine the circuit protection and EMI/RFI attenuation function into a single highly reliable device.
Parts are AEC-Q200 qualified for use in automotive applications and are also suitable for use in general purpose applications. Available in epoxy coated, radial package in working voltages 14 to 48Vdc, energy up to 2.0J and peak current up to 250A. Operating temperature range is –55°C to +150°C. Parts are available with Ni/Sn leads, however KYOCERA AVX can also offer Ni free wires upon request.
