Process Engineer

Location: Myrtle Beach, SC
Job Description:
The Process Engineer position is responsible for the manufacturing process, product and equipment improvements for Thin Film SLC/Resistive Products. Position is also responsible for new product and material qualifications. This position is permanently in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina but will be based in Jacksonville, Florida for the first 4-6 months of employment.
Reports To:
Operations Manager, Ceramic Manufacturing
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize and perform activities to define the manufacturing process.
  • Manage the technical processes of manufacturing flow from raw material through finished product to customer.
  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, continuous improvement and improved efficiency.
  • Prepare operating procedures and instructions for manufacturing processes.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel to solve daily problems and establish safeguards to minimize their occurrence.
  • Analyze returned product and work with customers to answer questions and concerns.
  • Qualify new product and material and implement in the manufacturing process.
Job Requirements:
  • B.S. in Engineering required; Ceramic Engineering or Materials Science Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of process / manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience may be through an internship or co-op program.
  • Excellent oral written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of within the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement/Problem Solving skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 CFR 120.15 is required, or if a non-US Person, the ability to obtain an export license approved by the U.S. Department of State.
    • “U.S. Person” includes U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee or asylee.
  • Ability to work in Jacksonville, Florida for the first 4- 6 months of employment.
