PC Support Technician

Location: Greenville, SC
Job Description:
This position is responsible for working with the Network Department to support all staff members in troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving issues with PC and laptop configurations, network connectivity, and printers.
Reports To:
PC Support Supervisor
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Setup and upgrade computers running Windows XP, Windows 7 operating systems
  • Provide new hires with basic introduction to hardware, software, and network resource basics.
  • Assist with hardware and software procurement.
  • Keep software license records.
Job Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Electronic Technology or Computer Science.  Technology certifications a plus (A+, MCP, etc.)
  • 4+ years Windows-based computer support experience.
  • Experience in the installation and problem-resolution of PC’s, printers, and other peripherals in a Windows-based work environment.
  • Knowledgeable in the installation and upgrade support of a variety of PC-based software packages such as Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with desktop applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases is desirable.
  • Accuracy with work, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple priorities under deadline pressure.
  • Understanding of IT Helpdesk with strong emphasis in customer service.
  • Ability to move and relocate desktop computers, printers, monitors, and accessories.
  • Ability to understand, operate, and troubleshoot sophisticated inspection equipment
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage time well and support the needs of multiple product lines
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
