Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Description:
The Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible to direct, coordinate and actively participate in creating a sustainable culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities include assessment of the current business processes and activities, help with the development of the future state vision, and execution of an improvement event action plans. The Continuous Improvement Manager will prioritize and execute training and deploy the tools, principals, and processes that increase quality and eliminate waste.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Implement Lean Six Sigma Principles.
  • Work with operations to establish quality and reliability metrics and drive improvement activities to meet corporate goals.
  • Monitor performance and initiate projects to insure achievement of goals.
  • Work with site leadership teams using CI tools and analytical skills to identify, prioritize and lead Continuous Improvement projects or activities; identify stakeholders and resources; reprioritize as necessary to address changes in business.
  • Review Company’s business processes for enhancing effectiveness and benchmark with Industry Best Practice.
  • Play a key role in standardization and consistency of applications to support Continuous Improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams formed to implement change and continuous improvement in order to meet or exceed corporate objectives.
  • Create periodic presentations on company implementation progress to management.
  • Advises in the identification and execution of total quality management (TQM) projects, guiding others to solve problems and remove barriers to success.
  • Ensures effective processes for data collection, documentation, and reporting, and the appropriate application of statistical tools as well as visual systems to communicate, support, and sustain corporate performance expectations.
  • Directly trains, coaches, and mentors assigned resources and plant personnel as needed.
Job Requirements:
  • This position requires a Bachelor Degree, graduate degree desirable and at least 7 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, Master Black Belt, Lean Sigma
  • Detail and Quality focused with strong organization, persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization.
  • Self-starter, motivated, team focused and results driven.
  • Assertive, solutions focused, strategic and statistically oriented.
  • Demonstrated history of consistently exceeding corporate goals.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Seven to ten years of progressive responsibility in a line or staff function of a complex manufacturing operation, with minimum of three years’ experience in managing and/or developing people.
  • Two to three years of proven results of change management preferred.
